LIPOLYSIS AND AFLATOXIN PRODUCTION IN ASPERGILLUS-FLAVUS

Abstract
Lipolysis in relation to toxinogenesis was studied in various strains of A. flavus. Toxinogenic strains show a lipolytic activity which is twice the activity of non-toxinogenic strains. This enzymatic activity seems to be directly linked to the toxin biosynthesis.
