Abstract
A simple algorithm to decouple a multivariable system and simultaneously assign the maximum possible number of the poles of the resulting closed-loop decoupled system by the use of state variable feedback is presented. Various questions regarding the minimality of decoupled system are resolved. The whole procedure is illustrated by an example. Keywords
