Clonazepam in the Treatment of Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia

Abstract
Fifty patients with panic disorder or agoraphobia with panic attacks were treated with clonazepam, a high potency benzodiazepine. The authors report on the outcome of these patients after an average follow-up interval of 1 year, suggesting that clonazepam is a safe, effective, and easy to administer medication in a relatively treatment-refractory population of nondepressed patients with panic disorder and agoraphobia.
