Abstract
A reinvestigation of the series of Ryvosh[long dash]"the order in which the erythrocytes of the mammalia may be placed with respect to hemolysis by saponin and hypotonic saline respectively"[long dash]by quantitative methods, including the calculation of correlation coefficients, confirms the results of Ryvosh. Evidence indicates that this order is determined principally by the protein content of the cell, exclusive of hemoglobin.
