Abstract
Subcut. injection of estrin into [female] Rhesus monkeys in doses of 15-90 rat units daily did not inhibit the first menstrual period after beginning of the treatment, but usually caused suppression or delay of 1 or 2 subsequent periods, after which the menstrual cycle spontaneously reasserted itself. Treatment with the corpus luteum hormone, progestin, in doses of 1 rabbit unit subcut. daily regularly caused suppression of the 1st expected menstrual period followed by menstruation-like bleeding 5-8 days after withdrawal of the treatment. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
