Abstract
A sum rule for the amplitude is written at the symmetry point, , under the assumption that satisfies an unsubtracted fixed- dispersion relation, where and are the energy and momentum-transfer variables. From the symmetry-point conditions, and are obtained and compared with the current-algebra estimates.
