Abstract
From previous experiments Bxr was found to be a tandem duplication in which Bxt was duplicated, and the postulate was made that the wild-type alleles of small eye (sy) and fused wing veins (fu) were also duplicated in Bxr. The production of exceptional male progeny as a result of crossing-over within different regions of the duplication when females of different genotypes were used, demonstrated that in Bxr the sy+, Bx+, fu+ loci as well as x, a locus to the right of fu+, were duplicated.
