Embryonic Dual Model for Pions and Fermions

Abstract

We present a dual-resonance amplitude for $N$ pions and two fermions. In the fermion-antifermion channel the spectrum of mesons and their couplings to $N$ pions are precisely those of the Neveu-Schwarz model. In fermion-meson channels the spectrum is that of Ramond's propagator. Thus there are a sufficient number of gauges to remove all ghosts-fermion and meson. By factorizing in the fermion-antifermion channel we extract the vertex function for $\left(\mathrm{excited}\mathrm{meson}\right)\to (\mathrm{f}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{r}\mathrm{m}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{o}\mathrm{n}-\mathrm{a}\mathrm{n}\mathrm{t}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{f}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{r}\mathrm{m}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{o}\mathrm{n}\mathrm{p}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{r})$.
