Eye Color in Darkly Pigmented Basal-Cell Carcinomas and Malignant Melanomas

Abstract
Light eyes are uncommon in patients with solidly pigmented black or dark brown basal-cell carcinomas. All eye colors are found in patients with malignant melanoma. A solidly pigmented black or dark brown malignant lesion, in a patient with blue, gray, or green eyes, is more likely to be a melanoma than a basal-cell carcinoma.
