Magnetic moment of the first excited state ofSb121and the hyperfine field inPd2MnSb

Abstract

The Mössbauer effect of ${}_{}{}^{121}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Sb}$ in ${\mathrm{Pd}}_2$MnSb is used to derive a more accurate value for the magnetic moment of the first excited state (37.15 keV): ${\mu }_e=(2.518\mathrm{}\pm 0.007){\mu }_N$. The hyperfine field is found to be 651 ± 5 kOe at 80 K and 706 ± 5 kOe at 18 K.
