Abstract
This investigation considered the prediction of academic achievement over a one-year time period. Academic achievement was assessed in terms of four scales of the CTBS battery. The predictor variables were academic aptitude (assessed in terms of the SFTAA battery), age, sex, and grade level. A one-year time period intervened between the administration of the CTBS and SFTAA batteries. The results showed high levels of predictive validity in terms of multiple correlations, cross-validated correlations, and prediction intervals.
