Abstract
THE observations to be presented show that the prenatal growth of the thyroid may be stimulated by introducing thyrotrophin into the fetal circulation. This effect may also be demonstrated in fetuses deprived of the hypophysis by removing that portion of the head which is above the tongue, lower jaw and foramen magnum in such manner that the thyroid and its blood vessels are spared. Keywords
