Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 35-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of an abnormal x-ray film of the chest.He was in vigorous health until eight weeks earlier, when he began to experience constant substernal distress similar to heartburn but unrelated to meals, activity, or position. A physician found no abnormality on examination, and an electrocardiogram was normal. X-ray films and tomographic examination of the chest showed superior mediastinal and bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy; a well-defined lobulated serpentine density, 8.5 by 6 cm, was evident in the medial portion of the left lower lobe; no vessels were . . .Keywords
