Abstract
It is shown that for surface wave delay lines with parallelepiped substrate geometry, the plate modes of the substrate describe the entirety of the spurious responses of the transducers. Experimental evidence is presented which shows that by carrying out a superposition of the plate modes, both the in‐band distortion and the out‐of‐band rejection can be quantitatively predicted. Keywords
