RESPONSES TO INFUSION OF GROWTH HORMONE INTO THE MAMMARY ARTERIES OF LACTATING SHEEP

Abstract

Local infusion of growth hormone, at doses ranging from 400 to 3200 μg/day, into the mammary arteries of lactating sheep failed to affect milk yield and composition. There were no changes in concentrations of major metabolites in peripheral plasma. Key words: Lactating sheep, local application of growth hormone
