Abstract
Presentation of CaseA sixty-two-year-old man entered the hospital because of melena.Six months previously a huge arteriosclerotic aneurysm of the abdominal aorta that at first appeared inoperable was resected, and a Dacron-Teflon prosthesis, 30 by 21 mm., was inserted. At operation it was necessary to do partial thrombendarterectomies of calcified plaques of both common iliac arteries to make satisfactory distal anastomoses. The graft functioned well, and good pulses were observed in the femoral arteries after the occluding clamps were removed. Retroperitoneal tissue was sutured over the graft.
