Abstract
A light flash of about 1 millisecond duration elicits tube transformation in paracrystalline prolamellar bodies as well as maximal protochlorophyll(ide) photoconversion in etiolated bean leaves (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). These findings support a more detailed hypothesis on the linkage between tube transformation and protochlorophyll(ide) photoconversion than has been offered previously. Keywords
