Intracranial Neoplasm Associated with Fourteen and Six Per Second Positive Spikes

Abstract

Surface positive spike discharge of 14 and 6/sec. frequencies were recorded from 2 patients with proved intracranial neoplasms, one with a deeply infiltrating astrocytoma and the other with a pituitary adenoma spreadr ing beyond the sella. These cases support the theory of thalamic and hypothalamic origin of 14 and 6/sec. positive spikes.
