Abstract
Recent work suggested that small bowel biopsy in infants and children is difficult and hazardous. Pyloric or duodenal obstruction has been common. A technique is described, using the standard pediatric Crosby capsule with soft radio-opaque tubing, which has a 90% success rate, even in infants. No serious complications occurred. The jejunum was reached in 86% of cases.
