Electrophoretic Studies of Bovine Serum. II. Concurrent Hypoglobulinemia and Natural Infections of Eperythrozoonosis.

Abstract
Distribution of serum proteins were studied in dairy calves naturally infected with eperythrozoonosis. Concurrent with the appearance of the organism within the erythrocyte, globulins decreased to an abnormally low concentration; whereas the albumin/ globulin ratio increased. The implications of hypoglobulinemia in eperythrozoonosis are discussed.
