Blood Group Antigens and Cross-Reacting Antibodies in Primates including Man

Abstract
Rabbits immunized with human blood of type N. He responded by producing antisera from which reagents of specificities anti-N, anti-He and anti-Me could be prepared. From the sera of rabbits immunized with blood from chimpanzees and baboons anti-M reagents have been prepared which give reactions almost identical with those of anti-M reagents prepared in the usual way from sera of rabbits immunized with human type M blood. These observations provide further evidence of the multiplicity of blood factors characterizing agglutinogens in general, and agglutinogen M in particular.
