Abstract
Detection and titration of circulating immune complexes appear as an essential tool for the diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of [human] immune complex diseases. A simple, rapid, sensitive and quantitative method is proposed which is based on the evaluation of complement [c] by soluble immune complexes measured by 50% hemolytic activity. This technique was compared to the 125I-C1q [q fragment of C component 1] binding test and may be recommended for clinical laboratory use.
