EFFECTS OF SYNTHETIC HUMAN PANCREATIC (TUMOR) GH RELEASING FACTOR AND SOMATOSTATIN, TRIIODOTHYRONINE AND DEXAMETHASONE ON GH SECRETION IN VITRO

Abstract
The effects of synthetic human pancreatic (tumor) GH Releasing Factor, hpGRF, and a partially purified rat hypothalamic GRF, rhGRF, on secretion of GH by primary cultures of rat pituitary cells are reported to be inhibited noncompetitively by somatostatin. Dexamethasone and triiodothyronine pretreatment enhance the response to hpGRF.
