Stimulation of Thoracic Duct Lymph Flow by Epinephrine and Norepinephrine.

Abstract
Lymph flow rates were studied in a total of 12 paired experiments on 4 conscious dogs which had previously been prepared with chronic thoracic duct-jugular vein shunts. Epinephrine and norepinephrine (7.5 [mu]g/kg) were given intravenously over 10-minute periods. Both pressor amines brought about a significant increase in flow rate and the increase following epinephrine was significantly greater than that following norepinephrine.
