Abstract
Analyses of transmission-electron-spin-resonance data are presented which yield quantitative information regarding the first Landau spin parameter in sodium and lithium in the regime where resolved spin waves are not observable. At low temperatures is obtained from an analysis of line-shape asymmetries. At higher temperatures is deduced by a comparison of spin and momentum diffusion constants. The value of for sodium is consistent with that obtained from spin waves and provides verification of the new methods described. obtained for lithium is used to calculate the electronic susceptibility which is compared with other experimental and theoretical results.
