Abstract
Absorption spectra of methane enriched to 52% in the 13C isotope were obtained in the 1300‐cm−1 region with a 0.45‐cm−1 resolution. The theoretical method of Hecht was used to determine the rotational and splitting parameters for the Λ 4 band of 13CH4. A line‐by‐line calculated spectrum, using the calculated line positions, is compared to the observed spectrum. Keywords
