Abstract
Numerous examples of present day recombinant DNA research are presented. These include isolation and propagation of Salmonella flagellar DNA, construction of a hybrid phage .lambda./Escherichia coli DNA carrying DNA ligase gene for the large scale production of the enzyme, isolation and cloning of DNA fragments of several eukaryotes including yeast tRNA gene, chicken rRNA gene and sea urchin DNA fragments, and finally the use of oncornavirus reverse transcriptase in making DNA copies of human and rabbit Hb mRNA and the subsequent cloning. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
