Abstract
We apply chirping of the waveguide grating router to the multifrequency laser (MFL). We present a 10/spl times/100 GHz chirped MFL that has precise absolute oscillation wavelength control and guaranteed single router free-spectral-range mode oscillation for all 10 channels and, additionally, guaranteed single cavity mode oscillation for 4 of the channels. Keywords
