Abstract
In the pregnant rat, dietary protein restriction reduces the transfer of 14C-labeled alpha-aminoisobutyric acid from the maternal blood into the fetus. One of the causes of this phenomenon is a reduced capacity of the placenta to release into the fetus alpha-aminoisobutyric acid taken up from the maternal blood. Keywords
