A comparison of two policies of antenatal supervision for the prevention of prematurity. International Journal of Epidemiology 1981, 10: 241–244. The performance of 2 maternity units is compared. In comparable groups of average risk the prematurity rate was significantly lower in the unit practising intensive supervision during pregnancy.
