TREATMENT OF PAROXYSMAL SUPRAVENTRICULAR TACHYCARDIA WITH LANATOSIDE C

Abstract

Twenty-six patients with parox-ysmal supraventricular tachycardia which was refractory to vagus stimulation were treated with Lanatoside C intraven. in dosages averaging 1.2 mg. The arrhythmia was stopped in all cases within 1.5 hrs. Lanatoside C proved nontoxic and rela-tively free from unpleasant side effects. Lanatoside C is the drug of choice for the treatment of the acute attack of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
