Abstract
"1. Two groups of Ss of high and low anxiety as determined by a Scale of Manifest Anxiety were given a complex discrimination-reaction-time task involving a high degree of interference. 2. While the low-anxiety group was superior in performance on the reaction-time task, it was found that this superiority could be attributed to intellectual differences rather than to differences in level of anxiety."
