Abstract
Summary form only given. We have investigated photorefractive damage, photoconductivities, and photogalvanic currents of stoichiometry controlled LiTaO/sub 3/ crystal. Near stoichiometric LiTaO/sub 3/ single crystals even without MgO doping exhibited no measurable photorefractive damage at 532 nm of 2 MW/cm/sup 2/ intensity. Green induced IR absorption (GRIIRA) in near stoichiometric LiTaO/sub 3/ was also strongly suppressed. Keywords
