Thrombocythaemia is considered to be one of the chronic myeloproliferative diseases.We are reporting 11 new cases including 2 that terminated as blastic crisis, and 2 that occurred in brother and sister. Transition into blastic crisis has only been reported 5 times (including our 2 patients). To our knowledge, familial occurrence is hitherto undescribed.
