Abstract
The present state of knowledge about the epidemiology of rheumatoid arthritis is reviewed. The inadequacies of the point prevalence approach to this disease are emphasized. Attention is drawn to selected social and psychological factors and relevant new data are presented. The emerging pattern of results is discussed and differences between sexes are emphasized. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
