A Comparison of Litchfield-Wilcoxon and Bliss Estimates

Abstract
The graphical procedure of Litchfield and Wilcoxon (1949) applied to a large number of expts. provides ED50 estimates which agree well with probit estimates. Widths of confidence intervals estimated graphically do not agree as well and appear to be slightly biased upward.
