Absolute Oscillator Strengths for Cd I 3261 and Ag I 3281 and 3383

Abstract

Absolute oscillator strengths for Cd Iλ 3261 and Ag Iλλ 3281 and 3383 were measured by the method of total absorption applied to weak lines on the linear portion of the curve of growth. Within a 10 per cent experimental uncertainty, the results obtained are: ƒ (3261) = 1.9 × 10 ⁻³ , ƒ (3281) = 0.52 and ƒ (3383) = 0.28.
