Influence of signal probability during pretraining on vigilance decrement.

Abstract
THE ROLE OF PRETEST EXPECTANCY IN VIGILANCE DECREMENT WAS REEXAMINED IN A REPLICATION OF AN EARLIER EXPERIMENT, WITH SIGNALS PRESENTED IN THE AUDITORY, RATHER THAN THE VISUAL, MODE. DECREMENTS OBSERVED PARALLEL THOSE OBTAINED PREVIOUSLY, AND ARE ANALYZED IN TERMS OF THE THEORY OF SIGNAL DETECTABILITY. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
