Production of Casein and the Presence of Estrogen Receptors in Human Breast Cancer 2

Abstract
The relationship between the presence of estrogen receptors and casein (evaluated on a semiquantitative basis with a specific immunofluorescence method) was statistically analyzed in 50 cases of human breast carcinomas. No significant correlation was found between these two parameters, whereas a relationship was established between the production of casein and the degree of histologic differentiation. The results of this study, like those of other studies, revealed a lack of correlation between the presence of estrogen receptors and the degree of histologic differentiation.
