Abstract
The appearance of a ninhydrin-positive spot in chromatograms of urine from hooded rats deficient in pyridoxine was confirmed. The substance responsible was isolated and shown to be L-cystathionine. The observation is discussed in the light of what is known about the importance of vitamin B6 in trans-sulfuration.Keywords
