Abstract
The following polyenes were found to occur in D. stillatus: phytofluene, alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, zeta-carotene, torulene, cryptoxanthin and zeaxanthin. beta-Carotene is the major pigment present. gamma-Carotene and phytoene are also probably present in traces. Traces of 2 unidentified carotenoids were also observed. Keywords
