RECURRENT herpes-simplex encephalitis has A never been proved in human beings although cases suggestive of it have been reported. It has been demonstrated in laboratory animals. This is a report of 17 episodes of an organic psychosis associated with recurrent herpes-simplex labialis.Case ReportA 9-year-old boy was well until June 28, 1959, when he became lethargic and vomited.
