Abstract
In certain cases, lyotropic lamellar phases under shear form structures corresponding to a close-packed assembly of multilayered vehicles. We present light and neutron scattering data showing that these micrometer-sized objects may exhibit a long-range order under shear similar to that which has been observed for rigid colloidal particles (shear-induced ordering). Keywords
