Computer Processing of Neuroradiological Reports

Abstract
The problem of computer-stored radiological reports is considered. A variable-field-length technic by which unlimited amounts of data can be stored in a form available to computer input with relatively little encroachment on the physician''s time and effort is discussed. The authors believe that this technic of computer input and the computer programs, labeled MEDTRAN, required to utilize the data are practical and offer great advantages in terms of research as well as in clinical utility.
