Abstract
Rotavirus infection was diagnosed by virus detection and by serological methods in 2 women with acute gastroenteritis, aged 22 and 29 years, respectively. Both patients had been in close contact with children with rotavirus gastroenteritis. Rotavirus-specific antibodies were detected in serum specimens obtained prior to the illness in one of the patients, and the serological response in both patients suggested a reinfection with rotavirus as cause of the disease. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
