Relativistic Calculation of RadiativeM1Transitions in Charmonium

Abstract
The transition rates for various radiative M1 decays between charmonium S states are calculated relativistically. The rates depend considerably on the quark mass and on the Dirac covariants in the potential. The M1 decays may therefore be a sensitive probe of quark interactions. Some numerical results are presented for a linear potential.
