Abstract
The claim of Bach (Nature, 158: 376(1946))of crystallization of the enzyme and the role of Mn was refuted. Electro-phoretic studies on arginase purified according to Bach showed inhomogeneity. An absence of crystallinity in the round structures was noted. Mn and Co were powerful activators of the enzyme.Keywords
