Relativistic and Mesonic Corrections to the Forward Cross Section ford(γ, p)n

Abstract
The discrepancy between the theoretical and the experimental values of the forward deuteron photodisintegration cross section is found to be sensibly reduced by the inclusion of the relativistic corrections (Darwin-Foldy and spin-orbit terms) in the charge density. On the contrary, the pionic corrections calculated in the pseudoscalar πNN coupling are in the opposite direction.
