Abstract
The historical background of hyperkinesis and learning disabilities (H-LD) is reviewed briefly and followed by a discussion of food additives. Focus on artificial food colors and flavors as important etiologic agents is explained and supported by the favorable response of 30 to 50% of various samples of H-LD children managed with the Kaiser-Permanente (K-P) Diet. Keywords
