Far Infrared Measurements in High-Tc Superconductor SrxLa2-xCuO4-y

Abstract
Far infrared trasmission spectra of powdered Sr x La2-x CuO4-y at temperatures above and below T c=37 K were measured in the range 20 to 500 cm-1. We found the absorption edge around 180 cm-1 corresponding to the energy gap E g(0)=5 kT c.
